Job summary

Searchstratos seeks an AI Solutions Specialist intern engineer in Palo Alto. You will work hands-on with data, prompts, and evaluation workflows, translating customer use cases into working AI solutions. The role emphasizes end-to-end execution in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership.

You will preprocess sensor/video data in Python, design prompts, and support model evaluation, demos, and customer-ready reports. This is an onsite contract role based in Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, or related technical roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data preparation and analysis.
• Experience with prompt engineering and/or fine-tuning workflows.
• Hands-on experience with time-series sensor data and/or video data.
• Strong understanding of data preprocessing techniques (imputation, filtering, normalization).
• Experience with data labeling and annotation workflows.
• Experience evaluating model performance and iterating based on results.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks or similar tools.
• Ability to generate structured, customer-ready reports.

Responsibilities

• Review customer data (sensor streams, video, use cases) and assess feasibility.
• Prepare datasets in Python (ingestion, cleaning, structuring, normalization, filtering).
• Execute iterative data preprocessing cycles (test → refine → re-evaluate).
• Design, test, and refine prompts (including multimodal and n-shot examples).
• Support fine-tuning workflows and evaluation processes; configure model parameters for POCs.
• Maintain reusable prompt templates and configurations.
• Partner with Solutions Engineers, Architects, and Sales teams.
• Support the full customer lifecycle: discovery → solution → deployment.
• Summarize evaluation results for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Support demos, training, and best practices when needed.
• Drive projects end-to-end from raw data to validated results.
