HSBC is undertaking a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme aimed at reshaping how Joiners, Movers, Leavers (JML), recertification, and controls are managed. The My Access Portal (MAP) programme is a multi-year initiative to enhance HSBC Group's identity and access governance landscape, supporting the Secure Digital Identity strategy across global businesses, functions, and regions. This initiative will modernize current practices to address audit and regulatory issues, improve access control management, enhance recertification processes, reduce operational overheads, and deliver lifecycle efficiencies through automation and preventative controls.

Role Description

Role Category: Solution Designer (GCB5)

Introduction: The delivery of the SailPoint-based My Access Portal (MAP) solution will align with HSBC's Vision '27 pillars and other IAM initiatives. The role involves working with project managers, control owners, and technical specialists to design and implement the MAP strategic tooling, controls, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements for core integrations and controls.
  2. Interpret objectives and challenges to define technical designs and solutions.
  3. Document high-level and low-level designs.
  4. Present IIQ solution designs for architecture and security approval forums.
  5. Establish IAM best practices, design patterns, and standards for consistent implementation.
  6. Integrate SailPoint with systems such as HR, ServiceNow, Active Directory, RACF, PAM, and others.
  7. Implement IAG processes including Recertification, JML, Access Requests, Segregation of Duties, and RBAC.
  8. Develop custom connectors, rules, workflows, and data models on SailPoint.
  9. Provide technical training to enable BAU teams and partners.
  10. Manage project scope, schedule, status, and documentation.
  11. Collaborate with vendors on enhancement requests.
  12. Work with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with policies.
Requirements
  1. Experience designing and implementing large-scale IGA programmes independently.
  2. Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
  3. Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOX, DORA, FRA, GDPR.
  4. Proficiency with SailPoint products (IdentityIQ, Identity AI, CAM).
  5. Experience migrating and consolidating IAG solutions, preferably in-house or with One Identity.
  6. Designing and integrating multi-domain directories (AD, LDAP).
  7. On-boarding applications onto SailPoint using connectors.
  8. Integrating IAG with Mainframe platforms (RACF, ACF2).
  9. Integrating IGA with ServiceNow, HashCorp Vault, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea.
  10. Programming skills in Java, BeanShell/JavaScript, JSP/Servlets, SQL.
  11. Web technologies: XML, SPML/SOAP, HTML.
  12. Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  13. Strong technical documentation skills.
  14. Ability to manage multiple workstreams to meet deadlines.
