Dematic needs a Solution Design Project Engineer. The successful candidate will have relevant experience designing and applying large-scale material handling solutions. This includes leading design teams and managing Material Handling Equipment projects. The candidate should have a working knowledge of mechanical design, machine controls, warehouse control software, and/or customer operations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Review requirements from the customer/sales team and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to generate system concepts
• Lead team members, create 3D models, and generate proposal drawings
• Produce material lists and project scope summaries
• Submit and validate vendor quotes with procurement teams
• Apply standard subsystems, designs, and modules to solutions
• Identify project risks and assist with mitigation strategies
• Establish priorities and promote effective interaction between departments
• Lead technical and pricing reviews
• Create cost breakouts and bridging
• Manage all project engineering efforts for assigned projects
• Recognize when to apply standard subsystems and modules
• Apply value engineering principles to optimize system effectiveness
• Be accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects
• Understand customer RFPs, specifications, and requirements

What We are Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in fields such as Mechatronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.
• Experience with Bulk Handling, Case Conveyors, PLC Control Systems, WMS/WCS Software, Linear and Crossbelt Sortation, ASRS & Unit Load, Structural Design, Pallet Conveyors, Monorail, Simulation, Autostore
