Logicalis is seeking a seasoned pre-sales engineer to craft end-to-end data center solutions for mid-size and enterprise accounts. You will translate client needs into detailed designs, assist in proofs of concept, and collaborate with vendor teams to position the full portfolio.
The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, solutions architects, and delivery teams, alongside ongoing professional development and customer-focused communications.
Provides pre-sales technical engineering support to Account Executives and clients as integral part of full sales process. Focuses on technical solutions for mid-size and enterprise accounts and works closely with clients to determine how Logicalis solutions can best serve their needs. Provides end-to-end solutions for data center technologies to our customers, includes traditional on-premises (server, storage, hypervisor and backup) and hybrid technologies combined with on-premise solution. Focuses on customer focused documenting, quoting and ultimately presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education/Experience/Technical Requirements/Certifications Equivalent combination accepted.
Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, management disciplines, or related field.
Experience / Technical Requirements 4 years technical pre-sales role with experience in: Enterprise, Midrange and Commercial grade storage solutions including data protection from industry leading storage vendors (IBM, HPE, NetApp or Pure). Storage Area Networks (iSCSI, Fiber Channel, FCOE, or Network-attached Storage (NAS)). Hybrid Cloud design and scoping for leading vendors (IBM,HPE, NetApp, Cisco and Pure). HCI technologies for leading vendors (HPE, NetApp, Cisco). Ability to conceptualize and discuss Data Center Automation and Orchestration with leading products (VMware, Cisco, ETC.). On-premises and cloud backup solutions (Veeam, IBM, and\or Commvault). Ability to architect solutions documented in OEM validated designs from HPE, Pure, NetApp and Cisco. Business Continuity/High Availability. Virtualization Solutions from VMware. Combining products and services into technology solutions that meet customer’s business needs. Consulting and solution implementation experience in enterprise environments. Willingness to be a thought leader by attending professional development training and developing solutions for emerging technologies such as API integration, analytics and IoT. Knowledge and experience with OEM quoting tools required such as IBM eConfig, Cisco CCW, or HPE OCA (Online Configuration Advanced). Experience in business case development. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
Certifications Storage technical certification(s) in pre-sales or implementation from industry leading storage vendors (IBM, HPE, NetApp, Pure or Cisco). Other related certifications (VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP), Microsoft, Backup or Cloud (Azure \ AWS).
Other Skills or Abilities Excellent written and verbal skills; confidently and professionally interacts with external clients and internal teams. Excellent time and prioritization management; multitasks to accommodate requests from multiple customers and Logicalis Account Executives. $110,000 to $150,000 plus commission
