Job summary

Logicalis is seeking a senior pre-sales engineer to provide technical support to Account Executives and clients across mid-size to enterprise accounts. You will design integrated physical security solutions, including access control, video surveillance, and IoT devices, and deliver compelling designs and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Information Technology, Engineering, Security Technology, or related field preferred.
• 4 years’ experience in technical pre-sales.
• Experience with enterprise physical security systems incl. video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, IoT-connected devices.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Certifications Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE): VCE – Access Control Specialist, VCE – Video Security Specialist, VCE – Alarms Specialist.

Summary

Provides pre-sales technical engineering support to Account Executives and clients as an integral part of the full sales process. Focuses on technical solutions for mid-size and enterprise accounts and works closely with clients to determine how Logicalis solutions can best serve their needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Designs and develops integrated physical security solutions including access control, video surveillance, and connected devices.
• Produces accurate designs and proposals for clients using Logicalis technologies, services, and methodologies.
• Conducts assessments, studies, and/or surveys to obtain data; analyzes data to advise and recommend solutions.
• Qualifies, from technical perspective, new business opportunities or requirements within existing and prospective clients to ensure alignment with target markets, portfolio, and delivery and lifecycle services capabilities.
• Designs and configures complex solution components.
• Proposes elements, configurations, and implementation details of solution.
• Prepares for and conducts client proof of concepts.
• Prepares and performs product demonstrations.
• Broadens engagements with clients by promoting, defining, and positioning Logicalis services from entire portfolio as appropriate to client requirements.
• Advises service delivery team to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Helps clients understand solution benefits.
• Interfaces with vendor and manufacturer teams.
• Provides product and/or solution training for Logicalis Sales teams and clients.
• Mentors Logicalis team members.
• Participates in increasingly complex client projects.
• Keeps abreast of latest solutions and services Logicalis offers.
• Establishes relationships with clients by demonstrating strong listening skills.
• Builds credibility and trust by delivering what has been promised within established timeframes.
• Participates in regional and national events and regional team meetings.

• Experience / Technical Requirements 4 years’ experience in technical pre-sales role.
• Experience working with enterprise physical security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and IoT-connected devices.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with low-voltage cabling standards and integrated building technologies.
• Experience supporting multi-site enterprise deployments and large-scale integration projects.
• Experience designing and delivering integrated technology solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working with IT, facilities, and security stakeholders.

Salary Compensation Range: $110,000 to $147,500 plus commission
