Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Cloud Solution Architect with pre-sales experience to define winning cloud architectures for clients. You will partner with sales teams and client stakeholders to qualify opportunities, design gate-to-gate proposals, and deliver cloud-native and hybrid architectures spanning IaC, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and serverless computing.

• Experience as a Deal Architect or Solution Architect in cloud services.
• Leadership qualities with ability to learn quickly and form expert opinions.
• Expertise in two cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales pursuit teams and clients to qualify opportunities and define architectures.
• Design cloud-native and hybrid solution architectures including IaC, containers, and serverless.
• Apply Well-Architected Framework to ensure resilient, secure, and cost-optimized solutions.
• Create end-to-end designs across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Develop effort estimates, pricing, and delivery approaches for cloud assessments and migrations.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to knowledge sharing and reusable assets.
• Lead client workshops, defend proposals, and publish whitepapers on cloud technologies.

The role is in-office or on client sites Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday!

In this role, you will:

• Partner with sales pursuit teams and client stakeholders to qualify opportunities, assess current landscapes, and define winning future-state architectures.
• Design and present cloud-native and hybrid solution architectures - spanning Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and serverless computing that anchor compelling proposals.
• Apply the principles of the Well-Architected Framework to ensure proposed solutions are resilient, performant, secure, and cost-optimized.
• Build end-to-end solution designs across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security domains, with clear scope and assumptions.
• Develop effort estimates, pricing, and delivery approaches for cloud assessments, migrations, and modernization initiatives using proven methodologies and solution accelerators.
• Mentor junior architects, contribute to internal knowledge sharing, and grow a library of reusable assets, estimating models, and reference architectures.
• Drive thought leadership through client workshops, proposal defenses, and whitepapers on emerging cloud technologies and commercial best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or above
• Proven experience as a Deal Architect, Solution Architect, or similar pre-sales role in the cloud services field
• Proven leadership qualities, with passion for rapid learning and forming expert opinions.
• Expertise in at least two of the cloud technologies - Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP, or equivalent cloud technologies
