E-Frontiers in New York seeks an Aeron Solution Architect to own the technical excellence and architecture of high-performance trading systems for capital markets clients. You will contribute to the codebase on challenging delivery pieces and drive domain-aligned architectural decisions.

Our client is a financial technology consultancy delivering cutting-edge trading and front-office solutions to the world's leading investment banks, investment managers, fintechs and capital markets service providers, with offices in London, New York, Barcelona, Manila and Montreal.

We are looking for an Aeron Solution Architect to join our New York team and take ownership of the technical excellence and architecture of complex, high-performance trading systems delivered to our capital markets clients.

Responsibilities:

• Be accountable for the success and technical excellence of solutions delivered to clients, including individual contribution to the codebase on the most challenging aspects of a delivery
• Define performant and resilient architecture and detailed design, informed by the domain and client need
• Advocate for best practices in design, development and testing (e.g. separation of concerns, behaviour-driven testing)
• Help define and facilitate the adoption of engineering standards across teams
• Lead a team in proper adherence to software development lifecycle processes
• Advocate for technical decisions to clients, team members and other stakeholders
• Coach and mentor engineers, helping others grow and evolve

Requirements:

• Significant professional experience within capital markets, developing software solutions using Java in a highly performant, low-latency manner
• Experience using Aeron in a high-performance scenario within capital markets or digital assets
• Relevant experience in Order Management Systems, Execution Management Systems, Smart Order Routing, Trading Venues & Exchanges, Matching Engines, Algo Containers, Risk Management or FIX Gateways
• Experience with Distributed Systems and Consensus Algorithms, Event-driven architecture, and Replicated State Machines
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring team members
• Experience working within an Agile environment and a mature SDLC
