The Solution Architect collaborates with stakeholders and engineering teams to evaluate business requirements and design solutions that enhance platforms or solve specific problems, adhering to enterprise architecture standards. They define solutions by understanding technical components, identifying applications and interfaces, and documenting designs with detailed diagrams and documents.

This role involves leading technical vision from concept to completion, acting as a bridge between leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams, and communicating solutions effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.

Key attributes include technical knowledge, communication skills, collaboration, teamwork, and agility.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Participate in project collaboration, providing thought leadership and technological suggestions.
  • Create high-level solution-approach documents outlining proposed solutions, technology components, costs, resources, and usage estimates.
  • Develop detailed low-level solution designs, including components, sequencing, and end-to-end plans.
  • Utilize common Generative AI tools in daily workflows.
  • Partner with various organizational levels including Product, Engineering, DevOps, Management, and Support teams for end-to-end solutions.
  • Address challenges related to risks, time, resources, and scope.
  • Provide updates on solution development to stakeholders and leadership, explaining technical and high-level aspects.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership to ensure quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and SRE teams on technology choices and infrastructure design.
Technical Background & Skillsets
  • Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Experience with IT and cloud infrastructure development.
  • Knowledge of data protection and security practices.
  • Experience in software engineering and architecture design.
  • Experience leading web application development teams.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools to accelerate workflows.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Professional experience analyzing infrastructure and software.
  • Knowledge of LMS, Educational Management Systems, or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability and positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking with operational focus.
  • 10+ years of software development and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years with .NET frameworks and cloud computing, preferably AWS.
  • 4-5 years analyzing business requirements and writing technical specifications.
