Job summary

iBASEt seeks an experienced Solumina consultant to lead deployment and integration work on a PLM–MES project. Ideal candidates have hands-on Solumina experience and a background interfacing with upstream PLM systems, especially Teamcenter, within complex discrete manufacturing.

You will operate in a regulated environment (aerospace/defense, medical device, or industrial) and travel 50% or more on projects. Strong requirements gathering and design skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years implementing iBASEt Solumina specifically (not just MES).
• 7+ years overall MES experience in complex discrete manufacturing.
• Experience with business requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design and configuration on at least one Solumina deployment.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ on engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis and functional design for Solumina projects.
• Configure and optimize Solumina workflows, routing and data collection on the shop floor.
• Drive PLM–MES integration patterns, ensuring seamless data flow between PLM and Solumina/Shop floor systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients in aerospace/defense or regulated industries.

Job description

Solumina is iBASEt's MES for complex discrete manufacturing (aerospace & defense, industrial equipment, electronics). This engagement's Teamcenter environment is meant to integrate with Solumina - so we need a consultant who has actually implemented or architected Solumina - ideally someone who has worked on a project with an upstream PLM system - rather than general MES/MOM experience alone.

Core Solumina Capabilities They Should Know

• Shop-floor work instructions, routing, and process enforcement (calibration, tooling, and data-collection compliance at each step)
• As-built / genealogy traceability — building and maintaining full product/unit history
• Engineering change management as it affects work-in-process on the floor
• Closed-loop quality: nonconformance handling, Material Review Board (MRB)-style disposition, and defect/quality data capture on the shop floor
• Personnel and equipment qualification/certification enforcement within workflows
• PLM–MES integration patterns — how engineering/design data (BOMs, work instructions, change orders) flows from a PLM system into Solumina and how shop-floor/quality data flows back

Required Experience

• 4+ years implementing iBASEt Solumina specifically (general MES-only experience, e.g., Camstar or another platform, is not a substitute)
• 7+ years overall MES experience, ideally including complex discrete/regulated manufacturing (aerospace & defense, medical device, or industrial)
• Demonstrated business requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, and system configuration on at least one full Solumina implementation
• Experience with manufacturing performance metrics and identifying process-improvement opportunities
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience; willingness to travel (many Solumina engagements run 50%+ travel)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior project pairing Solumina with a PLM system - Teamcenter experience specifically is a strong plus given this engagement
• Experience leading 2+ full MES implementations end-to-end (architecture through deployment)
• Familiarity with AS9100/IAQG 9100 or other aerospace/defense quality frameworks
