Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Chicago, IL with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You’ll drive regional routes in the Midwest & Southwest, with 40+ hours per week and per diem nights. Earn $1800+ per week and enjoy training, safety-focused operations, and a path to a long-term driving career.

Carrier equipment includes day cabs, sleepers, and various trailers; schedule is Monday–Friday with some flexibility. Ryder emphasizes safety and career development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with endorsements.
• 9 months experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Load securement experience (strapping, tarping, chaining) is required.
• Must pass a Ryder drug test; background and motor vehicle check; DOT physical; road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Ryder policies.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight as required; assist in loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
