JAG Mobile Solutions is seeking a SolidWorks Designer to support engineering, production, and custom equipment development. This hands-on role moves designs from screen to shop floor, creating practical, build-ready models and drawings for heavy‑duty equipment.

Based in Indiana with flexibility to work from any of our three locations, the designer will create parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, develop BOMs, and collaborate across Engineering, Fabrication, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of CAD/design experience.
• Strong hands-on SolidWorks experience required.
• Experience creating native 3D models and associated 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, weldments, materials, and tolerancing.
• Associate degree or technical diploma preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Create and modify SolidWorks parts, assemblies, weldments, and layouts
• Produce detailed fabrication, assembly, and arrangement drawings
• Develop and maintain BOMs, drawing packages, and revision documentation
• Work closely with Engineering, Fabrication, Assembly, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve design issues
• Support design reviews, engineering changes, and shop‑floor troubleshooting
• Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with company standards
• Receive design information and convert it into accurate, complete prints
• Perform complex, individual CAD‑related design tasks
• Adhere to engineering policies, standards, and procedures
• Perform additional related duties as needed

SolidWorks Designer – Join Our Growing Engineering Team

JAG Mobile Solutions is a quality focused manufacturer of specialty commercial equipment used worldwide in major events, disaster response, military training, and other critical applications. Along with our custom trailer products, we also produce modified container based units and other self contained systems. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled SolidWorks Designer to support engineering, production, and custom equipment development.

This is a hands‑on role where your designs move directly from screen → shop floor → real world use. If you enjoy creating practical, build‑ready models and drawings for unique, heavy‑duty equipment, this is the place to make an impact.

After completing training, you will have the flexibility to work from any of our three Indiana locations. Occasional travel to other company facilities within Indiana may be necessary based on business needs.

What You’ll Do

The SolidWorks Designer will perform CAD design and development activities in support of the Engineering department’s mission, including:

• Create and modify SolidWorks parts, assemblies, weldments, and layouts

What We’re Looking For

• 2–6 years of relevant CAD/design experience
• Strong hands‑on SolidWorks experience required
• Experience creating native 3D models and associated 2D drawings
• Knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, weldments, materials, and tolerancing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Associate degree or technical diploma preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience with large SolidWorks assemblies, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks PDM is a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Office, and general 3D modeling
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Motivated to learn our process and grow with the team
