Job summary

S & S Cycle, located in Viola, Wisconsin, is seeking a Design Engineer to contribute to Core Product and New Product/New Market efforts. Proficiency in SolidWorks is required to design, prototype, and document parts with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineering professional in powersports or related industry preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
• Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Attention to detail.
• Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards.
• High analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
• Well organized and self-directed.
• Familiarity with IC engines and their components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of computer applications.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.
• Work with engineers, technicians, purchasing, other personnel, and suppliers to meet project goals.
• Perform tasks to complete projects on time and under budget.
• Lead project meetings, design reviews, and communicate results.
• Create test reports and data to determine if design meets specifications.
• Plan and fabricate prototypes to meet requirements and regulatory needs.
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry standards and specifications.
• Support testing of prototypes to verify reliability and performance.
