Job summary

Poncacityok is seeking a Solid Waste Collector to load refuse, operate light maintenance on equipment, and assist in recycling center operations. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork within a municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• One year of solid waste collection experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Load refuse on solid waste trucks; adhere to standard safety precautions.
• Maintain and repair solid waste dumpsters; replace faulty dumpsters as assigned.
• Perform minor maintenance activities on sanitation heavy equipment; clean solid waste equipment.
• Clean alleys; remove debris, brush and other refuse.
• Maintain appropriate logs and records on collection and delivery activities.
• Perform work activities according to safe work practices and procedures.
• Must have acceptable attendance and the ability to get along well with people.
• Operation of and/or assist in the operation of recycling center as required including waiting on and assisting customers.
• Perform building maintenance and custodial duties as required.
