Job summary

City of Little Rock is seeking a candidate to monitor solid waste collection activities to ensure compliance with the Solid Waste Ordinance and contract terms. The ideal candidate has two years of college coursework in business administration or public administration and two years of experience in solid waste collection or codes enforcement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements include a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License, and DEQ

Job description

This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

JOB OBJECTIVE: To monitor solid waste collection activities to ensure compliance with the Solid Waste Ordinance and contract terms.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of two (2) years of college course work in Business Administration; Public Administration, or a related area; and two (2) years of experience in solid waste collection or codes enforcement. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
• Must possess Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) 1A License within one (1) year of employment; must acquire Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) 1B License within one (1) year of acquiring non-renewable 1A License; must acquire Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) 1C License within one (1) year of acquiring 1B License; must maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
• Must possess Citation Authority Certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position.
