Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer to support solid waste landfill design and construction in Kentucky, blending office CAD work with field QA monitoring. You will work on grading, stormwater management, and environmental control systems within a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, 0–5 years of experience, and is eligible for a Kentucky PE license or FE/EIT.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• FE or EIT credential, or eligibility to obtain.
• Ability to obtain Kentucky PE license.
• Willingness to travel to sites (KY & surrounding states).
• Experience or coursework in civil design, grading, stormwater.

Responsibilities

• Perform solid waste landfill design including grading plans and slope stability.
• Design stormwater and silt management facilities for landfills.
• Assist in leachate and landfill gas collection system design.
• Prepare detailed construction plans and specs for bidding.
• Support CQA monitoring to verify field compliance with design specs.
