Job summary

City of Brooksville, FL is hiring a Solid Waste Attendant to ride on rear-loader trucks, load and unload garbage and recyclables, and help keep vehicles clean. Work may include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies under the supervision of a Solid Waste Operator.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Florida Class E driver license and a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver License, class E, and a driving record meeting city standards.
• English communication ability and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect garbage, trash, and recyclables along routes.
• Operate and back-load solid waste rear-loader trucks.
• Clean, maintain, and assist in repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Report safety violations and injuries to the driver.
• Communicate with customers and ensure route coordination.
