Job summary

Royston LLC in Jasper, GA seeks a Top Cell/ Solid Surface Operator on 1st and 2nd shift to efficiently cut, build, assemble and sand solid surface countertops. You will read blueprints, follow production procedures, operate machines, ensure high quality with minimal waste, and maintain safety while meeting exacting specifications.

Candidates should have 3+ years in solid surface or woodworking, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work with power tools like chop saws, sanders and routers.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work.
• Must lift 50+ pounds without assistance.
• Reading blueprints and understanding production procedures.
• Experience in a woodworking manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify problems during the process.
• Operate machine tools, sanders and measuring equipment.
• Work well with other team members and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and produce product from detailed blueprints.
• Self-starter; must be able to work with little supervision.
• Coordinate with team to maintain continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Cut out, build, assemble, glue, cut, and sand all solid surface components for assigned jobs.
• Inspect finished solid surface products to ensure all work is done without distortions or flaws.
• Monitor manufacturing specifications in blueprint-type documents to ensure that proper materials are used for job orders and meets company quality standards and job specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used for job orders using material usage sheets and report solid surface factory defects.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
