Office of the Indiana Attorney General invites a recent law-school graduate or judicial law clerk to a one-year fellowship serving in the Solicitor General team. Fellows will perform legal research, draft briefs, take depositions, and appear in court on state matters.
Fellows work mainly with the Solicitor General and his team handling the State's Supreme Court docket, constitutional challenges, and statewide cases.
The fellowship provides a recent law school graduate or judicial law clerk the opportunity to serve for a year in the Office of the Attorney General. Fellows will assist with all aspects of the Office’s work, including performing legal research, taking depositions, drafting briefs, and appearing in court. Fellows will work primarily with the Solicitor General and his team, which handles the State’s docket at the U.S. Supreme Court, constitutional challenges to state statutes, and other cases of statewide importance. The fellowship is an excellent opportunity for talented young attorneys to gain early substantive experience and contribute to high-impact cases. We expect fellows will handle at least one oral argument before a court of appeals.
