Job summary

This role covers AP, AR, payroll, month-end close, and collaboration with an external CPA for year-end work. Autonomy, variety, and a meaningful local impact come with a $55,000–$75,000 salary plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Experience with AP, AR, Payroll and month-end close.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with leadership.
• Detail-oriented and organized as sole accountant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external CPA for year-end activities, tax prep, and audits.
• Lead light budgeting and forecasting as the organization grows.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support leadership with ad-hoc reporting and insights.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness as the sole accountant.
