Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Soldering Technician in a highly respected electronics manufacturing environment. You will perform precision soldering on PCBs, inspect joints to IPC standards, and assemble/repair boards to meet strict production quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Soldering Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and ability to visually inspect solder joints to these standards.
• Experience assembling, modifying, and repairing PCBs to meet production and quality requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred certification or diploma in electronics or related field.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• 1. Perform intricate soldering tasks on various electronic components and PCBs.
• 2. Conduct visual inspection of solder joints to IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
• 3. Assemble, modify, and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet production and quality standards.
• 4. Interpret and work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble‑shooting functions.
• 5. Provide technical support to other team members and departments to optimize production processes.
• 6. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the workspace.
• 7. Document and report any defects or quality deviations in the production process.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Soldering Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• 2. Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and the ability to conduct visual inspections of solder joints to these standards.
• 3. Proven experience in assembling, modifying, and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet production and quality standards.
• 4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
• 5. High level of attention to detail and quality.
• 6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 7. A relevant certification or diploma in electronics or a related field is preferred.
