Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a PCBA Hand Soldering Technician for the Vista, California area. The role involves manual soldering of through-hole components and board assemblies in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

The candidate must have 1–2 years of hand soldering experience, strong attention to detail, and be able to follow IPC 610/620 guidelines. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Experience with small component hand soldering (1–2 years).
• Must pass solder ability test.

Responsibilities

Salary: USD18 - USD24 per hour

An electronics manufacturer is seeking PCBA Soldering Technicians to join their team.

Job Duties:

• Perform hand soldering, through-hole connectors and board level components.
• Solder through-hole components while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Conduct visual inspections using magnifiers or microscopes to verify quality.
• Use of tools such as soldering irons, hot air tools, tweezers, and other assembly equipment.
• Meet production targets while maintaining accuracy and product quality.
• Keep workstations organized and compliant with lean/6S standards.
• Identify, report defects or non-conforming materials to supervisor or quality.
• Maintain ESD controls and follow safety procedures.
• Follow company policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Computer Skills
• Strong understanding of soldering techniques and electronic assembly processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to use small mechanical tools including torques, calipers, plyers, etc.
• Working knowledge of assembly drawings, microscopic assembly and soldering
• Experience hand soldering assemblies per IPC 610 / 620
• Must pass a solder ability test
• 1-2 Years experience soldering small components

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience soldering in a manufacturing setting
• Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assembly
