Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a highly skilled assembler for precise flight-ready PCBAs in a fast-paced environment. You will perform specialized soldering tasks under a microscope, handle torque rods, magnetics, and high-current battery tabs, and use proprietary fixtures to ensure repeatable, high-reliability joints on non-standard components.

Daily duties include high-volume assembly, precision rework, and maintaining digital throughput records with in-house software.

Qualifications

• Daily precision work involving high-volume PCBAs and soldering in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience soldering torque rods, magnetics, or high-current battery tabs (highly preferred).
• Ability to learn and use proprietary in-house jigs/tools for complex interfaces.
• Capable of independent work with minimal supervision and high productivity.

Responsibilities

• Own specialized flight assembly tasks and perform precise soldering including torque rod assemblies and battery tab interconnects.
• Independently execute high-volume PCBAs with precision and throughput.
• Use and maintain in-house fixtures/jigs for repeatable, high-reliability joints on non-standard components.
• Conduct precision rework using microscope to add/remove components, install switches, and attach shields on boards.
• Track work progress with in-house software and maintain digital throughput records.
• Organize hardware on trays and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.

ImpactYou’llOwn:

• Specialized Flight Assembly: Take full ownership of complex soldering tasks, including torque rod assemblies and delicate battery tab interconnects.
• High-Volume Execution: Independently perform precision rework and assembly on a high volume of PCBAs daily.
• Jig-Based Precision: Use andmaintainin-house custom fixtures/jigs to ensure repeatable, high-reliability solder joints on non-standard components.
• Precision Rework: Expertly add/remove components, install switches, and attach shields to boards using a microscope.
• Workflow Management: Use in-house software to track work progress andmaintaindigital records of throughput.
• Operational Excellence: Organize physical hardware on trays systematically and manage a shifting queue of priorities without constant supervision.

What You Bring:

• Specific Mastery: Proven experience soldering torque rods, magnetics, or high-current battery tabs (highly preferred).
• Daily Precision Experience: A career background where high-reliability soldering under a microscope was the primary daily function, not a secondary task.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn andutilizeproprietary in-house jigs and tooling for complex mechanical-to-electrical interfaces.
• Independent Drive: Ability to work with minimal supervision andmaintainhigh productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with electronic part numbering systems and the ability to read complex drawings/schematics.
• Certification: IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 (Active or recently expired).

What Makes You Stand Out:

• NASA 8739.3/.2 or J-STD-001 Space Addendum certification.
• Experience with BGA rework stations and X-ray inspection.
• Previousexperience in Aerospace or Medical Device manufacturing.
• Experience with wire-to-tab bonding or high-vibration environment assembly.

Estimated Min Rate: $60.00
