Job summary

HireLevel is seeking a Soldering Tech in Saint Charles, MO to join a manufacturing team in a state-of-the-art facility. You will perform hand soldering and desoldering of electronic components and assemble circuits according to schematics. IPC standards familiarity is a plus, and strong attention to detail is essential.

This Temp-to-Hire role is on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30AM-3:00PM) with pay ranging from $19 to $21 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits after hire and 401(k) participation.

Qualifications

• Must have proven soldering experience on electronic components.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with IPC standards; IPC certification a plus.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand soldering and desoldering of electronic components.
• Assemble circuit boards, wiring, and assemblies per schematics.
• Inspect solder joints for quality compliance.
• Troubleshoot and repair defective assemblies.
• Use tools such as soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and microscopes.
• Maintain clean workstation and document repairs/modifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.

Located in a state-of-the-art 120,000-square-foot facility in Saint Charles, the company combines engineering, metal fabrication, electronics, and manufacturing under one roof. The ideal candidate has hands-on soldering experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read schematics and assembly instructions. IPC certification is a major plus!

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time

Location: Saint Charles, MO

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:30AM - 3:00 PM

Pay: $19 - $21/hr.

Responsibilities of Soldering Tech:

• Perfom hand soldering and desoldering of electronic components, including through the hole and surface mount (SM)T parts
• Assemble circuit boards, wiring, and electronic assemblies according to schematics and work instructions.
• Inspect Solder joints to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Troubleshoot and repair defective electronic assemblies
• Use Tools such as soldering irons, hot air rework stations and microscopes
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following ESD Precautions
• Document work performed, including repairs and modifications
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.

Requirements of Soldering Tech:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in soldering electronic components
• Familiarity with IPC standards
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and assembly instructions
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of electronic components and circuits
• Good eyesight (corrective vision acceptable)
• IPC Certification is a huge plus
