Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate from Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and verbal instructions.
  • Select required fixtures and parts.
  • Ensure heat application produces true and leak-free solder joints. Responsible for quality control and rejecting non-conforming products.
  • Perform basic equipment adjustments based on material variations.
  • Take necessary precautions to prevent fire or burns to others.
  • Perform soldering operations to meet quality and production goals.
  • Handle equipment changeovers as needed.
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
  • Assist in troubleshooting soldering equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Perform ancillary duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, typically acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of soldering experience.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more).
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Good eyesight (corrective lenses acceptable).
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
