Job summary

ResourceMFG in California seeks a Solderer to perform hand soldering, rework, and inspection of PCBs, cables, and assemblies in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 and customer specs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sharp attention to detail and strong manual dexterity in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include soldering both through-hole and SMT components, inspecting joints, performing replacements, and using soldering irons, hot air stations, and microscopes.

Qualifications

• Current IPC J-STD-001 Certification (Certified IPC Specialist preferred).
• Minimum 1–3 years of electronics soldering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering.
• 3+ years of soldering experience.

• Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs.
• Ensure all soldering work complies with IPC J-STD-001 requirements and customer quality standards.
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies for quality, workmanship, and conformance to specifications.

• Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, and other assembly tools safely and effectively.
• Adhere to ESD procedures and cleanroom requirements when applicable.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly issues.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and experience working in a manufacturing or electronics production environment.
