Pro-Active Engineering in Wisconsin is hiring Solder Technicians to assemble and solder surface mount and thru-hole electronic components onto printed circuit boards following IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.

Responsibilities include following process documentation, in-process inspection, depanelizing boards, labeling, packaging, and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of electronic components and equipment.
• Ability to perform basic thru-hole component soldering on boards to IPC standards.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Soldering experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Follow internal assembly process documentation to meet requirements.
• Populate PCBs with thru-hole or secondary operation components.
• Solder thru-hole components per IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• In-process inspection of thru-hole components.
• Depanelize printed circuit boards.
• Trim, clip, and tin wires and leads.
• Hand wash finished PCB assemblies.
• Label or mark circuit boards.
• Package and box assemblies for shipping.
• Glue, epoxy and mask circuit boards.

Job description

Pro-Active Engineering has openings for Solder Technicians. These positions perform assembly and soldering of surface mount and thru-hole electronic components on to printed circuit boards per IPC-A-610 class 2 standards. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Populate printed circuit boards with thru-hole or secondary operation components.
• Solder thru-hole components per IPC-A-610, class 2 standards.
• In-process inspection of thru-hole components.
• Depanelize printed circuit boards.
• Trimming, clipping, tinning of wires and leads.
• Hand washing of finished printed circuit board assemblies.
• Properly label or mark circuit boards.
• Package and box assemblies as required for shipping.
• Glue, epoxy and mask circuit boards.
