Job summary

HILLTIP INC is seeking an experienced Welder to fabricate and assemble truck body components on a first shift. You will read blueprints, cut and weld pieces to spec, and ensure a high-quality finished product. The role requires attention to detail and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime available based on production needs. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and build sheets.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate pre-designed pieces for truck bodies using common metalworking tools.
• Cut, fit and weld pieces to create a finished product per specifications.
• Read and interpret dimensions from build sheets, blueprints, or instructions.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Job Description:

• Fabricate pre-designed pieces for truck bodies using common metalworking tools (tape measure, angle grinder, plasma cutter, drill, flap disc, etc.)
• Cut, fit and weld pieces of truck bodies together to create a functional and finished product with nominal specifications.
• Read and interpret dimensions and designs from a build sheet, blueprints, or verbal instructions to ensure the product is built correctly.
• Assist in other departments when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Welder
• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents and drawings
• Understanding of all health and safety guidelines
• Attention to detail
