Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Solaris & Linux System Administrator to support advanced enterprise infrastructure for a highly secure government customer. The role maintains UNIX environments and enterprise storage supporting mission-critical workloads on onsite facilities in Maryland.

Responsibilities include administering Solaris and Linux systems, managing IBM Enterprise Storage, configuring Veritas NetBackup, and backing up, recovering, and DR operations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• 3+ years of hands-on Solaris System Administration experience.
• Experience administering Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting IBM Enterprise Storage solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation for the Solaris & Linux System Administrator includes:

• Salary range: $80,000 - $200,000 depending on experience
