Job summary

Solarblocks Energy in New York seeks a Solar Design Engineer with 1–2 years of related experience to develop roof solar designs. You will apply design guidelines and collaborate with engineers to deliver accurate proposals.

You will use Aurora Solar, Helioscope and AutoCAD to analyze satellite imagery and craft designs that meet quality standards, SLAs, and client requirements. The team is young, dynamic, and values knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of Aurora Solar or Helioscope, Satellite Imaging Map Tools, AutoCAD
  • Interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively and interact within a team environment
  • Analytical skills – ability to gather and analyze data, and solve problems
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable method

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply design guidelines to execute tasks
