Job summary

Translucent Solar LLC, an American solar module manufacturer in Summerville, SC, seeks a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing of critical materials for manufacturing of solar modules.

You will lead strategic sourcing in photovoltaic manufacturing, negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and oversee global supply chains, with emphasis on US trade policies, tariffs, domestic content, and IRA incentives to optimize sourcing and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years in purchasing for Solar Module manufacturing
• Enthusiastic candidate considered regardless of diploma or experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing team activity and tasks for production
• Schedule POs according to production and operations needs
• Ensure availability of necessary raw materials, equipment and tools
• Multi-task to optimize production performance and costs
• Coordinate with all departments to maximize uptime and cost efficiency
• Negotiate contracts and monitor service quality
• Forecast demand and monitor stock levels
• Develop purchasing strategy and produce reports
• Train and supervise other staff members
