Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. is seeking a Solar Site HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety, and environmental efforts across multiple project sites. This role requires travel to projects in Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma and beyond, with per-diem support for relocation and assignments.

The successful candidate will oversee HSE plans, deliver training, and ensure compliance with OH&S regulations while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Holds safety designation.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in related industry; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans and safe work practices.
• Develops and delivers project-specific HSE training.
• Executes district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Identifies hazards and advises on corrective actions.
• Leads on-site HSE inspections and monitors safety plans.
• Develops emergency response, security, and environmental plans.
• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
• Participates in on-site investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintains positive stakeholder relationships.
• Coaches and mentors HSE staff on site.

Travel is required as this position may be located at one of our projects with locations including: Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, and other states.

Per-diem is available to help cover temporary living expenses for candidates who the eligibility criteria. Depending on project availability, once your time on this project ends, you may be transferred to the next project in a different state.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.

• Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training.

• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.

• Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.

• Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.

• Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site‑specific security requirements and the environmental plan.

• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.

• Participates in on‑site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.

• Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.

• Holds safety designation.

• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset.

• Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.

• Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem‑solve.

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
