Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. is seeking an On-Site Solar HSE Student to support safety programs, site observations and safer job sites. Interns are expected to work full-time May–August 2027 across multiple locations in the US.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration and adherence to safety protocols while contributing to a progressive, employee-owned team with strong growth opportunities within the PCL family.

Qualifications

• Desire to work in a Health, Safety and Environment function.
• Have completed or be enrolled in HSE-related courses.
• Ability to work effectively with others and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Learn Health, Safety and Environmental concepts in construction.
• Learn OSHA regulations.
• Read and understand safety procedures.
• Perform audits, safety meetings and overall safety in construction.

As an On-Site Solar HSE Student for PCL Solar, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by supporting safety programs, conducting site observations, and helping create a safer jobsite every day.

Interns must be available to work full time from May to August 2027.

Our project locations for 2027 are in Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, and Oregon. You must have reliable transportation to get to and from the job site.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a HSE function
• Have completed or be enrolled in any HSE related courses
• Ability to work effectively with others and meet deadlines and goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and self-starter.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and can convey information to both technical and general audiences.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is between $18 and $24 an hour. PCL Intern wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
