Job summary

System One seeks a Solar Safety Manager to promote a robust safety culture on a Mississippi County solar project. The role conducts daily field safety audits, drives risk mitigation, and leads safety orientations for workers and subcontractors on a large onsite construction site.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of construction safety, strong OSHA knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe

Compensation: DOE + $140/Day Per Diem
Work Model: Onsite

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction safety experience (more experience welcomed).
• Experience working on utility-scale solar, renewable energy, heavy civil, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive safety initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company-provided vehicle.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Utility-scale solar project experience.
  • Environmental compliance experience, including erosion control, stormwater management, SWPPP compliance, or other environmental programs.
  • OSHA 30 Certification (required/preferred depending on experience level).
  • CHST, STSC, ASP, CSP, or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience supporting EPC or renewable energy construction projects.
