Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Safety Coordinator to support the EHS team on multi-state solar projects, with high travel expectations across Arkansas. You will help implement and monitor solar safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with project teams to reduce risk.

Qualifications

  • Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 3+ years in related field.
  • Must have knowledge of DOT/DOL/EPA regulation and OSHA/industrial safety compliance as they relate to the power generation industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss’ Solar Safety Coordinator supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in the development implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Moss Solar’s EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements within an assigned project. This position will achieve that goal by being in a position to lead a project site.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 3 or more years of experience in a related field
  • Must have knowledge of DOT/DOL/EPA regulation and OSHA/industrial safety compliance as they relate to the power generation industry
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • Effective organization and planning skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to safely drive a company vehicle. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.

JOB TITLE: SOLAR SAFETY COORDINATOR

JOB LOCATION: ARKANSAS - MULTI-STATE REQUIRES HIGH TRAVEL

CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME - EXEMPT - SALARIED

REPORTS TO: SOLAR SAFETY MANAGER

This position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures.
