Job summary

Cinterra seeks a Quality Control (QC) Technician for its solar construction projects. This hands-on role manages the site-specific QC program, ensuring safety, reviewing designs and specifications, and supporting field teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Experience with electrical testing and digital documentation is essential. Candidates should have 2+ years of solar electrical experience, NFPA 70E certification preferred, and the ability to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years solar electrical experience.
• NFPA 70E Certification preferred.
• Experience with electrical testing procedures and digital documentation.
• Familiar with AHJ standards and NEC code.
• Reads and interprets plans, specifications, and equipment standards.
• Familiarity with construction means and methods for utility-scale solar installations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in the energy sector.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with quality management software.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel to field sites.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate safety as a core value and support the corporate safety program.
• Apply SOPs, SWIs, and QC checklists to field work.
• Review project design, drawings, and specifications for accuracy.
• Assist site management with RFIs and Submittals.
• Manage and execute quality control inspections on site.
• Upload inspections and photos to the QC program software platform.
• Identify, communicate, and track non-conformance material and test results.
• Assist construction team with non-conformance remediation.
• Support QC Supervisor with tracking and closing incomplete inspections.
• Ensure QC records are accurate and submitted per contract requirements.
• Provide cross-division support as needed and handle special assignments.
