Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, is hiring a Quality Control Shift Supervisor to oversee end-to-end QA/QC on the solar cell production line. You will lead a team of Technicians and Inspectors, ensuring adherence to customer specs and regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with Production, Process, Equipment, Facilities and Quality Engineers to contain defects, drive CAPA, and sustain high cell performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years quality experience in manufacturing, solar/semiconductor preferred.
• 1+ year supervisory experience leading 3+ staff.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and internal/external audits.
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IQC, IPQC, OQC and QE/Reliability Technicians within the shift.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, test workflows and electrical performance thresholds.
• Lead defect trend analysis and escalate root-cause to Quality Engineer for CAPA.
• Conduct shift quality audits and maintain documentation for audits.
• Manage non-conformance records and coordinate with QA for CAPA closure.
• Generate daily/weekly quality/reliability shift reports and analyze trends.
• Train and communicate updated procedures and test plans to the team.
