Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, seeks a Quality Control Shift Supervisor to oversee end-to-end QA/QC operations across solar cell manufacturing during the shift. You will supervise a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors, ensuring adherence to customer specs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include managing IQC/IPQC/OQC/QE/Reliability testing, driving CAPA, audits, and daily quality reporting while coordinating with Production, Process, Equipment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in quality in a manufacturing environment; solar/semiconductor/renewable energy preferred.
• 1+ years supervisory experience managing 3+ employees.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift workflows for IQC, IPQC, OQC and QE/Reliability Technicians; supervise personnel and plan tasks.
• Manage incoming material checks, in-process monitoring, final inspections, and reliability screening.
• Enforce customer specs, test workflows, electrical performance thresholds, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead defect/failure trend analysis using EL/PL imagers, IV tracers, microscopy, and reliability test chambers; drive CAPA with QE.
• Complete shift-level internal audits and maintain compliance with SOPs and standards.
• Maintain inspection and non-conformance records; coordinate with QEs to close audit findings.
• Generate daily/weekly quality/reliability shift reports; share trends with Quality Manager and attend operations meetings.
• Follow corporate Quality and EHS safety requirements; support production deadlines and urgent issue resolution.
