Job summary

Standard Solar in Rockville, MD is seeking a Solar PV Project Manager to oversee full lifecycle of commercial and utility-scale solar construction projects, from diligence and planning to execution and closeout.

This role coordinates engineering, permitting, budgeting, and stakeholder communication to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence, reporting to senior leadership and interfacing with finance and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, renewable energy, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solar PV project management or preconstruction.
• Strong understanding of permitting, interconnection, site development, and EPC processes.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, NetSuite, Salesforce, MS Project, Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• PMP or NABCEP certification preferred; NABCEP PVIP preferred within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning from concept through mobilization.
• Coordinate site evaluations, topographical surveys, and risk logs.
• Manage EPC relationships, contractor selection, and QA/QC during buildout.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and cost-to-date data for stakeholders.
• Maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, and deficiencies; document meetings.
