Job description

Position Overview

As a Solar PV Installer, you will be part of a hands‑on team responsible for installing residential solar energy systems. This role combines physical work, technical skill, and problem‑solving while delivering a rewarding experience for both you and our customers. Each project is unique, offering daily variety and the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge renewable energy technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load trucks and trailers with necessary tools and equipment
  • Travel with the crew to job sites (primarily local)
  • Prepare rooftops or ground mount sites for installation
  • Run wiring for solar systems
  • Install rails, mounting equipment, and solar panels
  • Attach wire connectors and electrical components
  • Connect systems to meters, inverters, disconnects, breaker panels, and routers
  • Properly cover and label equipment
  • Meet with inspectors and ensure installations meet code requirements
  • Test completed systems and educate customers on operation and monitoring
  • Return to the shop, unload equipment, and complete required paperwork
  • Learn to install both grid‑tied and off‑grid systems on rooftops and ground mounts

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 1+ year of construction or electrical experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Safety certifications (preferred but not required)
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shift
  • Year‑round work averaging 40–50 hours per week (weather permitting)
