Job summary

Pure Power Engineering seeks an engineer to design and generate construction documents for commercial and industrial scale solar PV systems. You will create electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits, and construction, with interconnection support and feasibility studies.

The Denver-based role offers hybrid work with occasional travel to Hoboken, NJ, and involves mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience with AutoCAD including layers, dimensioning, sheet sets, xrefs, line weights, and file transmission.
Hands on experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer commercial PV solar systems between 100 kW and 20 MW.
Develop construction documents using AutoCAD.
Develop specifications, collect data, and complete interconnection and building permit applications.
Develop detailed equipment specifications.
Coordinate with clients, utilities, permit agencies, contractors, and other firms.
Travel to project sites to gather data as needed.
Site assessment and analysis from on-site data and network tools.
Contribute to or write technical papers.
Perform site-specific PV array production analysis using PVsyst.
Occasional travel to sites; base office in Hoboken, NJ.
Roof surveying with professional land surveying equipment.
Integrate energy storage systems into PV systems.
Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.
Other tasks as assigned.
