Job summary

Standard Solar in Rockville, MD seeks a Solar PV Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of commercial and utility-scale projects. You will drive diligence, planning, permitting, budgeting, and coordination across engineering, development, and finance teams.

The role emphasizes preconstruction planning, construction oversight, and rigorous project management, with a focus on safety, schedule adherence, and cost control. In-person work at our Rockville headquarters is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, renewable energy or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solar PV project management or preconstruction.
• Strong understanding of permitting, interconnection, site development, and EPC processes.
• Proficiency with Procore, NetSuite, Salesforce, MS Project, Bluebeam and related PM tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills. PMP or equivalent preferred; NABCEP PVIP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of commercial and utility-scale solar construction projects from diligence through closeout.
• Oversee preconstruction planning, feasibility, site evaluation, and risk logs.
• Manage EPC relationships, contractor selection, safety compliance, and QA/QC.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders; maintain ERP/CRM data accuracy.
