Lightsource bp seeks a Project Engineer to deliver utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects across the United States. You will work with development, engineering, construction, and finance teams to ensure technical requirements align with schedules and budgets.

This role suits an engineer with early career experience in renewables; you will deepen technical expertise while contributing to complex infrastructure delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD/SketchUp) preferred.
• Knowledge of PV and energy storage tech, codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage engineering requirements within EPC contracts and project documentation.
• Support the Tendering team in EPC contractor selection and contract negotiations.
• Provide engineering support to the Project Management team during project execution.
• Review and approve project designs, drawings and technical submittals during development and construction.
• Manage external Owner's Engineers supporting design reviews and construction oversight.
• Support engagement with Independent Engineers for third party project financing.
• Conduct site visits to support construction progress and milestone verification.
