Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Project Engineer-Solar on behalf of a client in Florida. This 1-year contract (W-2) supports solar farm design and construction, coordinating 3rd party contractor teams from concept to commissioning.

Location is Juno Beach, FL with remote work possible and periodic office visits required, especially in the first months. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum -Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Discipline can be electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace or chemical.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Exceptions can be made for less than 5 years if that experience is a good match
• Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects is preferred
• Engineering and project management in the following fields may also be considered: DG/commercial solar; Other technologies in the power industry - wind, BESS, ...

Responsibilities

• You will apply value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems.
• You will coordinate project team members and mobilize teams of engineers to achieve goals.
• You will manage schedules and budgets for major capital projects.
