Our client is a developer for C&I solar projects across the United States. The role involves managing the technical aspects of solar projects from development through final completion. This includes collaborating on project execution plans, overseeing EPC companies, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant C&I rooftop solar experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical efforts between external engineering partners and internal teams to achieve project objectives on schedule
• Review engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements
• Manage data flow across teams, establishing efficient channels for technical documentation and communication
• Oversee the technical execution of multiple distributed generation solar projects from concept to completion
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proactively minimizing delays and financial impacts
• Liaise with permitting authorities and utilities to ensure technical and regulatory requirements are met
• Support the procurement team in technical specification development and vendor selection

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the solar PV industry, focusing on commercial
• and industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC, relevant building codes, and utility interconnection procedures
• Demonstrated experience in managing external engineering firms and contractors
• Exceptional project management skills and capability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
