SunVest Solar, LLC® is seeking a Project Developer to support the growth of our renewable energy portfolio. Location options include Chicago, IL or Geneva, IL with travel.

The role covers concept to construction for distributed-scale solar and standalone Battery Energy Storage System projects, including site leasing, permitting, and budget oversight. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in PV/BESS development, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ground-mounted PV and standalone BESS development experience.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to understand project economics.

Responsibilities

• Identify viable ground mount PV and BESS sites through a pre-determined screening process.
• Negotiate long-term solar or BESS leases or purchase agreements.
• Manage project development budgets and interconnection applications.
• Engage third-party providers and consultants.
• Attend zoning and permitting meetings, sometimes after hours.
