Job summary

Namaste Solar is seeking a Portfolio Manager I to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar customers. You will manage customer communications, schedules, and work orders, while ensuring contractual obligations are met.

A background in solar or related technical services is helpful, but candidates with strong communication and organizational skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn technical concepts and communicate them effectively to customers and teammates.
• Experience providing customer support, coordinating operations, scheduling work, managing projects, or performing similar work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to review, organize, and maintain detailed records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar customers.
• Coordinate customer requests from initial intake through work order completion.
• Communicate service schedules, findings, recommendations, and project updates to customers.
• Review service agreements to determine contractual service obligations and coverage.
• Set clear expectations regarding service timelines, next steps, and follow-up activities.
• Perform initial triage of customer requests, monitoring alerts, and reported system issues.
• Create, manage, and track work orders within company systems.
• Gather information necessary to support efficient troubleshooting and field response activities.
• Coordinate service activities with technicians and other Portfolio Managers.
• Assist in prioritizing service requests and operational response activities.
• Review completed work orders and technician documentation for completeness and quality.
• Ensure documentation is sufficient to support customer communication and invoicing.
• Coordinate follow-up actions resulting from technician findings and customer requests.
• Plan, schedule, and track preventive maintenance activities for assigned customer portfolios.
