Job summary

ACT Power Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Portfolio Engineer to act as the technical liaison for our O&M fleet. You will analyze performance, coordinate maintenance, and present findings to clients and internal teams.

The role demands hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and developing tools to optimize a diverse solar and storage portfolio. Office-based with occasional site visits; strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, technology, or physics.
Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and/or operation in a power generation facility.
Programming experience in VBA or Python.
Experience with PV technology, DC/AC systems and networking.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Must maintain unescorted access to NERC facilities.
Office work with occasional site visits for training and support.

Responsibilities

Performance analysis of solar and storage projects through remote DAS and SCADA systems.
Serve as central point of contact for plant managers, operators, utilities and clients.
Site performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead client calls and act as client interface for technical issues.
Root cause analysis and performance improvements for underperforming systems.
Develop procedures and tools for efficient operation of a diverse solar/storage fleet.
Create tools and processes to improve organizational performance.
