Job summary

Onward Energy is recruiting a Solar Site O&M Tech I to support operation and maintenance of a utility-scale PV plant. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA, assist with testing, inspections, and repairs of PV inverters, modules, transformers, and switchgear, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental procedures.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, familiarity with electrical codes, and the ability to work with limited supervision while coordinating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college/technical degree preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of power plant, EH&S compliance, operations and maintenance.
• Must have safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of health and safety practices on the assigned solar plant.
• Follow operating, switching, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures.
• Communicate cross-functionally across all necessary parts of the organization to achieve resolution to plant issues.
