JD Ross Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer to support a portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage assets across development, construction, commissioning, and long-term operations.

You will gain hands-on exposure to energy modeling, performance validation, commissioning support, and technical due diligence in a fast-growing clean energy environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to expand expertise within the renewables sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 1+ year of renewable energy or related experience.
• Experience with PVsyst or similar solar energy modeling tools.
• Understanding of solar energy production concepts and performance metrics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy performance analysis and modeling for solar and storage assets.
• Support plant testing, commissioning, and performance validation activities.
• Review reports on electrical diagnostics and testing (IV curves, insulation tests, thermal imaging).
• Monitor SCADA data and identify performance trends and issues.
• Collaborate with EPCs, consultants, and internal teams through project lifecycle.
• Prepare performance reports, technical memos, and testing summaries monthly, quarterly, and annually.
