Job summary

First Solar is seeking an active Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support high-volume solar panel manufacturing. You will work with engineers and technicians to monitor production, analyze data, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. Typical hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, on-site at the plant.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and be pursuing a technical degree, preferably a bachelor’s. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Safety mindset for working in a manufacturing factory.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Comfortable interacting as part of a team.
• Competent in Microsoft tools (word, excel, powerpoint).
• Able to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing technicians, engineers and leadership.
• Solve day-to-day production equipment and process challenges.
• Identify and implement product performance improvements.
• Monitor and collect production process data and perform statistical analysis.
• Execute planned process experiments, collect data and report results.
• Create and conduct training and develop process documentation.
